I’ve worked hard to earn special designations/certifications that show I have taken additonal classroom or online instructional courses to become more knowledgable so that I can offer a higher level of professional service. These certifications/designations are as follows:
ESA: Exceptional Service Associate– This is a special certification that indicates that I offer a higher level of service and attention to the needs of buyers and sellers. It involves a written guarantee and a followup survey sent to all buyers and sellers after a transaction to ask them about the service I provided.
SRES: Senior Real Estate Specialist – This is a special certification that involved additional classroom instruction regarding the special needs of and ways to service senior citizens who are looking to buy and/or sell real estate. It means I have a special understanding the unique needs of and ways to help seniors who require the assitance of a Realtor.
ePRO: This is an multi-hour online course that provided me with infomation on how to use online tools and websites to more effectively search for and sell real estate. From E-mail to Search Engine Optimization this course enabled me to become a more effective and efficient Realtor which means I can provide a higher level of service to my clients.
ECOBroker: This multi-module 12 hour online and course book class is focused on environmental subjects ranging from building techniques, ways to remediate Radon to solar energy options and Energy Star qualification requirements.
ASP: Accredited Staging Professional: This designation means I’ve gone through two days of special staging education to help my sellers make sure their homes look their very best when they go on the market. Staging a home is different from decorating a home. It’s knowing what to take away, what to keep, and where to move items in order to make a seller’s home as appealing as possible to a potential buyer.
ABR: Accredited Buyer Representative: This designation means I have gone through additional training with regards to working with buyers to make sure they are provided with the best possible service so that they find the house that’s right for them, at the best price, on their timetable and with the least number of problems along the way. It also means I’ve had at least a certain number of sales as a buyer’s agent.
Previews: Coldwell Banker Previews Agent: This certification means that I have received special training to list and market luxury properties – those over $500,000. You’ll see a distinctive blue Previews sign on any of my listings that are priced at or above $500K.
SFR: Shortsale, Foreclosure and REO Specialist: This designation was recently created by the National Association of Realtors and the folks who award the ABR designation. It’s an all day class and hours on the web to learn about the special kinds of listings and purchases: what does it take to become one of them, how do you handle them as the Realtor helping a buyer or seller and what can you do to streamline the process to make it as easy as possible for your clients.
